At 3 years of age, Brooke was facing sickness all throughout 2010. She and her family visited many doctor’s offices and clinics but never got the answer they needed. Once they went to Valley Children’s they got the answer they’ve been looking for. Brooke was diagnosed with a severe kidney infection that spread to her bloodstream causing sepsis, which is a potentially fatal whole-body inflammation. After staying for 18-days, and getting the treatment she needed, Brooke is now doing great.

Rachel was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at age 11. She began to lose weight, develop anemia and abdominal pain. Instead of traditional therapy with steroid treatment, Valley Children’s provided enteral therapy, tube feeding, which has been proven successful with fewer side effects, that put Rachel’s disease in remission
